“There’s a real chance for a distant education center of the Free University of Varna to start in Montana city in March 2015”. Critical condition is the availability of at least 12 students for the two offered Master Programmes “Digital marketing and web design” and “International business project management”, according to the Co-operation Memorandum, signed between the University of Varna and Montana Regional administration” stated the Deputy Regional governor Nina Petkova during a press-conference with the representatives of the regional media. According to the Regional governor Ivaylo Petrov this is a good chance for the region to educate students in the field of EU project management.
The idea of opening a distant education center in Montana is supported by 95% of the students from all medium and professional high-schools of the city, according to a survey led among the children in November last year. The most desired specialties are as follows: Tourism, Information technologies, Architecture, Law, Psychology, Fashion management and National security.
“Education will start in September 2015 in case we have at least 25 candidates within the Bachelor distant programmes” stated the Deputy Regional governor Petar Petrov.
Preliminary entrance examinations will take place on the 25 and 26 of February in the building of the Professional high-school of Architecture and Geodesy in Montana. There will be two examinations according to the desired discipline – General education and Informatics as the examination charge will be 45 leva.
