DEPUTY REGIONAL GOVERNOR PETAR PETROV AWARDED THE WINNERS IN THE REGIONAL STAGE OF THE BEST YOUNG CONSTRUCTOR NATIONAL CONTEST
DEPUTY REGIONAL GOVERNOR PETAR PETROV AWARDED THE WINNERS IN THE REGIONAL STAGE OF THE BEST YOUNG CONSTRUCTOR NATIONAL CONTESTProf. Stefan Stefanov Professional high-school of construction, architecture and geodesy of Montana was a host of the regional stage of Best young constructor national contest which took place on 13th and 14th of March 2015.
An official guest of the event was Deputy regional governor Petar Petrov who awarded the winners of the contest.
20 participants from Montana, Veliko Turnovo, Gabrovo, Pleven and Vidin contended in 4 disciplines.
Participants from Angel Popov Professional high-school of construction, architecture and geodesy of Veliko Turnovo took the first place in the team classification, followed by representatives of Gabrovos Professional high-school and Nikola Fichev high-school of Pleven. Representatives of Montana took the 4th place, followed by participants from Vasil Levski school of Vidin who were awarded the 5th place.
Winners in the 4 disciplines were also awarded as Desislava Vitkova from Vidin took the first place in the Plaster, ground coat and painting discipline. Asen Zlatkov and Venko Ivanov from Veliko Turnovos High-school were awarded the 1st place in the Masonry discipline.

A CANDIDATE STUDENTS CAMPAIGN TOOK PLACE IN MONTANA
A CANDIDATE STUDENTS CAMPAIGN TOOK PLACE IN MONTANADeputy regional governors of Montana Mrs. Nina Petkova and Mr. Petar Petrov attended the opening of a candidate students campaign which took place on 09.03.2015 in the lobby of Montana citys Youth center.
Eighteen universities and two professional colleges had the chance to present their educational programmes as well as the conditions for application in front of graduates from Montana.
The event was also attended by teachers and parents who wanted to become familiar with the alternatives, offered by the universities.
Campaign will take place from 11.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m on the 9th of March and from 09.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m. on the 10th of March 2015 in the citys Youth center.
Where to study? is the slogan of the candidate students campaign for the current 2015.

MONTANA CELEBRATED THE 137 ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF BULGARIA
MONTANA CELEBRATED THE 137 ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF BULGARIARegional governor of Montana Mr. Ivaylo Petrov and his Deputies Mrs. Nina Petkova and Mr. Petar Petrov took part in the official ceremony on the occasion of the 137 anniversary of Bulgarias liberation.
Members of Bulgarian Parliament, municipal councilors, representatives of political and civil organizations, students and hundreds of citizens came to Jeravitsa square of Montana city to pay homage to one of the brightest dates of Bulgarian history.
As a tradition ceremony was initiated by the brass band which performed military and patriotic songs.
All the people proudly stood in silence during the official raising of the national tricolour.
Wreaths and flowers were placed in front of Montanas Monument of the people who died in the wars of national union in order to respect the heroes.

REGIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF MONTANA ORGANIZED A MEETING CALLED THE WAY TO FREEDOMA meeting called The way to freedom with the participation of the Chairperson of Vasil Levsky municipal committee Mrs. Trayana Tsenova took place on 27.02.2015 in the Regional historical museum of Montana.
The event was dedicated to the 137 anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman slavery. Among the official guests of the meeting was the Deputy Regional governor of Montana Mr. Petar Petrov

WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE ASSOCIATION LED A REGULAR MEETINGFirst regular meeting for 2015 of the Water supply and sewerage association of the territory, serviced by Water supply and sewerage ltd. of Montana was led on 27.02.2015 in conference room 1 of Montana Regional administration.
The event was opened by the chairperson of the association and Regional governor of Montana Mr. Ivaylo Petrov. Deputy Regional governor Mrs. Nina Petkova also participated together with the municipal mayors of Boychinovtsy, Valchedram, Varshets, Georgy Damyanovo, Lom, Medkovets, Montana, Chiprovtsy and Iakimovo.

200 YEARS OLD CARPETS FROM CHIPROVTSY WERE PRESENTED DURING AND EXHIBITION IN THE NATIONAL ETHNOGRAPHICAL MUSEUM
200 YEARS OLD CARPETS FROM CHIPROVTSY WERE PRESENTED DURING AND EXHIBITION IN THE NATIONAL ETHNOGRAPHICAL MUSEUMExhibition called Carpets of Chiprovtsy. Traditions and present time was opened on 26.02.2015 in the national Ethnographical museum.
Event was dedicated to the official announcement of Chiprovtsys carpet making as a part of UNESCOs World non-material cultural heritage and attended by Member of Parliament Desislava Atanasova, Regional governor Ivaylo Petrov and his deputies Nina Petkova and Petar Petrov, representatives of state cultural institutions and many citizens who value the carpet making of Chiprovtsy.
It were not only the carpets themselves, included in the World non-material cultural heritage, but also the tradition and know-how of their making. It is an art which is handed down from centuries ago and it represents the variety and sustainability of the Bulgarian traditions said reader Petko Hristov from Ethnology and folklore Institute during his welcoming speech.

REGIONAL GOVERNOR OF MONTANA AND HIS DEPUTIES LED A PRESS-CONFERENCE ON THE OCCASION OF THE ALTERNATIVE FOR ESTABLISHING A DISTANT EDUCATION CENTER IN MONTANATheres a real chance for a distant education center of the Free University of Varna to start in Montana city in March 2015. Critical condition is the availability of at least 12 students for the two offered Master Programmes Digital marketing and web design and International business project management, according to the Co-operation Memorandum, signed between the University of Varna and Montana Regional administration stated the Deputy Regional governor Nina Petkova during a press-conference with the representatives of the regional media. According to the Regional governor Ivaylo Petrov this is a good chance for the region to educate students in the field of EU project management.
